Who:  Youth, 6th-12th Grade

When:   Summer camp is usually scheduled in June

                  Usually another fall trip; sometimes spring also

 

Dixie Lee Baptist Church youth are given two (sometimes three) opportunities to go to camps/retreats each year.

 

DLBC youth may attend Student Life Camp. At Student Life Camp, youth jump into a conference with speakers who direct them to Jesus. During the day students will be challenged and stretched as individuals; in the evenings, they’ll have the opportunity to build group unity over dinner, worship, fellowship and church group devotions. Our youth will be learning to live life each day for Jesus.

 

 

Youth may attend one or two retreats during a year. The retreats are chosen to help our youth grow in their faith. They have attended Hearts on Fire in Pigeon Forge, where they listen to speakers and are entertained by Christian artists such as Toby Mac and Crowder. They have also attended Disciple Now (DNow). This is a nice weekend for them to be discipled at the church-organized sessions, which include worship through music, a speaker and small group sessions. They also get a few hours on Saturday to either do mission work or hang out together in a fun activity. They spend the nights in host homes for the DNow weekend.
